Colorado Chapter beats the heat with presentation on snow retention systems

The Colorado Chapter was pleased to present virtual education of 1.5 CEH’s discussing Snow Retention Systems presented by Lars Walberg of Rocky Mountain Snow Guards, Inc. Twelve attendees learned the difference between snow guards, snow rails, and snow bars. We also learned about design considerations for snow retention systems on the roofs and how geographical weather trends and snow loads affect the design. Thanks Lars for the informative session!

Virtual Educational Offerings a Success!

The Colorado Chapter hosted a 3rd quarter virtual education session, Cold Applied BUR presented by Vincent Martinez of Western Colloid and Kelly Sitzer of CIG Construction, on November 18, 2020. A 4th quarter virtual education session, Vertical Wall Solutions presented by Danielle Hancock of Rocky Mountain Reps and Chuck Bundrick of Dryvit, was hosted on December 1, 2020. While we miss in-person education events and networking, the virtual Zoom format has allowed us to provide quality education from excellent presenters which engage the attendees and support chapter goals. The combined events offered 5.5 CEUs and AIA LUs to encourage continuing education and support our members in obtaining or maintaining their registrations.
